the area just under my mouth is really red, easily irritated, peeling. i exfoliate but is seems the skin just keeps growing back and peeling. what can i do about this problem?

Hydrocortisone cream. Go to your dermatologist.

Try Vaseline it is good for chap skin. It keeps the moisture in the skin or put moisture back in. I'm not talking about the hand lotion but the greasy Vaseline. It works for my chap hands.

quit washing it so hard.
autumn is a dry season, and your skin needs moisture. it produces its own oils but if you wash them off the skin cannot retain its hydration.
try a little olive oil on it before bed.
you'll be fine.
