I was talking to my guy friend, who I sometimes hook up with (no sex) and he said that he had made a goal of having sex with me, and that he had not planned on it. This was after I asked him if he just wanted sex from me. Then immediately he mentions a girl he knows--who currently has a jerk boyfriend--and he says "but i'm not sure if she's the type I would date."
What does this mean?

We both date other people. It's not a relationship, and I truly enjoy his company far more than any of the guys I do date. However, we both got out of long-terms semi-recently...anyway, stop answering with "you're at Harvard." I want a legitimate response please.

He just wants sex,but hasn't been rushing .You asked he answered. As for him mentioning her,he's either showing you that you're not the only mark,or he's trying to make you jealous(apart of the game).

If you are sure that hes not a jerk which I think he his then his aim may be to make sure that you come out of your cocoon and open up to relationships. Maybe he wanted to go out with you since the very begining but like most of the male species could not hold the thing in his pants soi he had to go out with other girls

You caught him off gaurd...you asked if all he wanted from you was sex...He might be saying that. What do you want from him? If he wants sex from you, he will make a move, as far as the comment goes, he was trying to change the subject so that he could have better time to think about what you were asking him, but he did a bad job...thats what I see from this.

I will say this. He want sex. he is trying to say the right thing to have sex with you. He may lure you or tempt you with jealousy by saying other girls are interested in him.
Ultimately, I will bet money that after he had sex with you, you will see a different side of him. A bad side. Then you will know you are used.

it means he didnt plan to have sex with you because he doesnt like you or want to date you rather.
he obviously wants the othe girl he mentioned he just said that abiut her not being his type in case he gets turned down by her he can save his pride.
it means he will use you for sex until she or something else he likes comes along.

It means he is no longer on his psychotropic drugs and finds it hard to string two coherent thoughts together.
People who find sense in what he says need to go on meds as well.
