I'm a christian and I want to be able to witness to my parents. They both have strong opinions about church, they use to go before but stopped and haven't gone back for many years and feel they don't need to. My father just had a minor heart attack and I want them to be saved before it's too late.

Go ahead and talk to them, BUT be very respectful of what they believe now. Just because you believe they would be saved, does not mean that they have to. How would you feel if, after you had a heart-attack, your parents came up to you and told you that praying is a waste of time because god doesn't exist? So, if it is really important to you, tell them how you feel about god and respect them for either choosing to believe or not to. PLUS, everyone who doesn't live under a rock already knows what your belief system is (that Jesus saves people from their sins) so your parents are probably already choosing not to believe.

Hope this helps.

save them from what? heart attacks? if you wanna do that you should tell em to lay off the chimichianga burritos.

But as for church, i used to waste every sunday of my life listening to some hypocrite telling me not to do things that he so obviously is guilty of doing.I dont feel very "saved" and I dont see the point. If you really wanna be a good person, you should stop annoying them, and embrace the kind of people that your parents are, because you won't have them forever.

just be honest with them. Tell them how you feel they will listen they are your parents. and maybe find out why they backslided if they have been saved before and if not ask them what made them quite going to church and if they say for the hypocrytes then maybe try to invite them on a parents day and show them some that are not. SHOW them that you are serious about being saved by your actions too they will see Jesus's light through you.
AND DO NOT FORGET TO PREY about them and for what to say to them also God will give you the right things to say.

The fact that they have strong opinions on it and they once went but they don't now, suggests to me that even though you are their daughter, it won't change anything. Sorry to say but witnessing does turn people off and make them deaf to what you are trying to say. Their religion or lack of is their choice and that needs to be respected. If they wish to change, that is entirely up to them, not you. If you push your beliefs on them when they don't want them, you may end up creating a rift that is unrepairable.

1 - God is the one who gets them saved, so Pray and fast for them to get saved, whether by you, or someone else.

2 - I have the same problem - they need to see the change in your life, and ask the question, what happened, I want to be like you. Until that time, show them love above all else

You can't force them. Just pray for them and support them, that is the best gift you can give. I honestly think God loves everybody, and you don't need to go to church to believe in God. But everybody has different beliefs.

Live it, pray out loud, don't hide Christ,
Pray for your dad,
It doesn't matter what they think about a Church, your not bring them Church, your bring in Christ.
Live it, Love them, and read your bible to them
Share with them
Tell them Its not Church, its Jesus and what he did for us.
Share that.
But let them hear you pray for them from your room at night.
Let them hear you sing praises, and worshiping Jesus.
Study the word, and be the best light for them you can be.
Satan comes to still, kill, and destroy.
Ask them what the think of the bible.
Tell them your a believer, a child of God,
live it.
before them, your testimony in your body alone, will be the best light to bring anyone into the kingdom, the Nation of the Living God.

Don't, there is no reason why. I don't like converting people and I am againts these things. Just respect their religious views. I never try to conver my mother to my religion. Just becuase you believe in salvation doesn't mean it's going to happen anyways.

The best action is to live by action, tell them the glory of God but better than that show them. Bear fruit, forgive them, love them freely despite they are followers or not. Let your light shine so brightly that they can not deny that Christ lives inside of you. Pray for them but pray for yourself to be a witness to them. Pray for the words to tell them, pray to be a shinning example. Plant the seed but water it by the word of god from your lips but also the glory of god through your actions. Let Jesus be not just your savior, but your heart, your soul, your thoughts, your love, your hopes, your dreams, your arms which embrace them, your mind which puts the sentences together, your legs which carry you, and your strength so he gets you through all adversity. Pray every day and read the bible to hear his word, practice every thing you preach and ask for spiritual gifts so you can prophecy and allow the lord to speak to them through you.
Give it all to Jesus and you will be successful, God bless you.

I witnessed to my father, many years ago, his reply to me was "I'm HAPPY, deep down in my soul!"

The best witness is to live the life...

LET YOUR LIGHT SO SHINE THAT MEN MAY SEE YOUR GOOD WORKS...
