I do not think (Some) muslims or hindus or any other religions go to hell. i know that Jesus came to earth to save us for our sins but since we know that God is the father of LOVE i dont think he would send people to hell that honestly think their faith is the Right one. what do you think about that?

i completely understand what you mean. believing in Jesus has brought you into into an awareness of just how much love God can have.consequently, you can not imagine just how A God who loves us as much as to offer us His only Begotten son can send people to hell.
but I think that heaven will not be about people. it will not be about religions-hindus and Muslims, or Tribes-Kikuyus and British or Jews. i think it will be about individuals and the choices they have made wheN presented with optopns.
the only thing equal to Gods love, mercy and patience with man is His wrath.
ask yourself, when he doesnt strike us dead immediately for our hatred, out blasphemies, our murders, our deceptions, our pride, but allows us time to repent, just why shouldnt we be thrown to Hell when we continue in our rebellious ways.
when presented with the choice of the gospel, i'd better accept it.but even if i dont get a chance to listen to it, i have to make a chioice of living right with God, akin to what David, Moses and Joseph did in a pre-christ era. if i dont, my fate is the same as that of millions who have heard the gospel preached to them, and refused to humble in the presence of the Almighty. the state of the heart is the same, and so is the fate.
and let no one say iam judging . the bible has already condemned. i am merely restating

This may have some truth to it. When Jesus died on the cross, he did away with Moses' laws (10 commandments) so that we could no longer go about feeling smug based on our ammount of good deeds. Now, the only thing that gets us into heaven is our heart. And only our creator can know our hearts. Something that may be considered a "sin" to some people may have been done in complete innocence. Does it make it a sin, if God knows their heart? We are not to judge eachother on our actions. So, perhaps, even though some do not fall under the title of "christian" they may very well be in the book of life, because God knows their heart. But, at the same time, it could be argued, that since God commands us in the Bible to go out into all the world and teach the truth, that all ways may not be an eventual way to Him, and that it is the job of us who know the truth, to make sure that we bring that truth to those who do not know it.

One of the reasons I left the Church of my childhood is that I couldn't reconcile the eternal punishment of people who in all likelihood never had a chance to really consider Christianity with the idea of a lovinig God. Indeed, my Church would host missionaries who would talk about the need to save the souls of people who might otherwise never hear the Word.

I couldn't help but think - how is that fair? You never hear the Word, then you're damned?

I eventually just gave up religion entirely, but I've since learned that not all Christians have such simplistic and rigid ideas, and some really consider the issues of what it means to have a just God.

And THAT's the closest thing to a compliment you'll ever get from me ;-)

Well after the part where you say "I know that Jesus came to earth to save us from our sins" there should be a period not a "but". Any other religion who does not accept Jesus Christ as the Son of God and call on Him to be saved are believing a lie and they will be damned. Sorry to be so politically incorrect but that's what the Bible says.

Believe me, I wish you were right. But I am afraid, you are not. God is Love, that is true. But God is also Light and Truth and Justice and HOLY. You cannot so emphasize one quality of God at the expense of the others.

I don't WANT to believe in a place called "hell," and I don't WANT to beleive that the God I worship will send people to that aweful place. But I have to because Jesus says that there is such a place and that the unrepentant will end up there. So whether there's a hell or not or whether God sends sinners there is not the issue (for me). The issue for me is, will sinners continue in hell "forever" or will they be annihilated?

I agree with you totally on your personal but popular opinion. We all are God's creation and His children. And I think He won't condemn men to hell if they honestly believe in God. And if they practice their religions in the best possible way. For all we know, the God that they revere or worship is the same God that we all adore.

God has been called different names. How do we know, if Allah, Yahweh, Eloihim, Jehovah, God, Jesus Christ, Our Lord is not the very same God? There are different schools of thoughts and evidence that in the lost years of Jesus Christ, from age 14 up to 30 yrs, before His public life; He travelled extensively. Moreover, it's the same God who worked thru Mohammed and Buddha. These are all the mysteries of God. He might have manifested His Divine Interventions under different names for different races. Probably, only in that language, can the the human fraility accept Him.

God is the Father of love and justice.

...and just because some people think they are right does no MAKE them right. to prove this theory, think about kids.

some kids know that the best thing in the world is having candy for breakfast. older people know this is wrong.

Jesus died for all of us. but we need to accept that fact to be able to hang out with Him forever.

have a nice day.

I know how you feel. But we must not go by feelings. Jesus said, "I am the way, I am the truth and I am the life, no man shall come to the Father (God) except through me". Plain and simple.

God is fair + just before before he is full of love
Would you like the rules to change on getting to heaven while on your death bed?

God's rule -
1) you must be perfect to get into heaven
2) You have sinned, so you can never enter heaven
3) Jesus died for your sins to make you perfect again.just accept!

That is my opinion - What I think of yours? Would be really nice if your rules worked
