To fully undertand the answer to this question you would have to know the history of the Jews and their temple, their rituals and the significance of blood sacrifice by a spotless animal (usually a lamb).
When God offered His Son as a sacrifice it made it no longer necessary for the Jews to take an animal to the High Priest to be sacrificed for the cleansing of their sins. In fact, the curtain that surrounded the Holy of Holies (the place where only the High Priest could enter) was ripped in two when Jesus Christ was sacrificed on the cross.
Matthew 27:51 (New International Version)
New International Version (NIV)
Copyright © 1973, 1978, 1984 by International Bible Society
"At that moment the curtain of the temple was torn in two from top to bottom. The earth shook and the rocks split."
He gave us His Son to show us that He loves us enough to give up the one thing that was most precious to Him in order to save us from our sins. He made a way for us to come to Him by the sacrifice of His Son.
btw, there are several literal definitions of "sacrifice." Here is one:
sac‧ri‧fice
–noun...the surrender or destruction of something prized or desirable for the sake of something considered as having a higher or more pressing claim.

Baal would not *require* human sacrifice or torture via fireplace. He genuinely on no account has. See right here: "it quite is often asked or perhaps assumed that the Canaanites engaged in human sacrifice, extremely toddler sacrifice, yet no evidence of person or toddler human sacrifice has ever been uncovered in Ugarit.(a million) maximum pupils have reached a consensus that human and toddler sacrifice on no account occurred in Ugarit.(2) The Canaanite archaeological checklist is quiet on the challenge. toddler sacrifice might have occurred in Phoenicia, Carthage, and often times in Iron Age Israel.(3) a million. I am not a Christian but here's what I believe. Back in the times the Bible was written many Gods existed- much like in the Greek Mythology. Because of this, sacrifices can be made to one God and not nessarily all of them. What may have happened is over the years the Gods became seen only as one. And that's why there's some mix-up about the sacrifice.
I do not believe that Jesus was sacrificed in any way. What happened to him he accepted because he knew that he was more. In essence he believed that he was an infinite being. The body may die but his true beingness did not. And because of this Jesus did not suffer.
Jesus said that the kingdom of God is inside of you. I believe what he meant was that our beingness never dies. And Jesus wanted us to discover that our infinite and all-loving beingness. This treasure cannot be understood by looking for answers outwardly, but inside of ourselves. I do not believe that religion will have an answer.
Answers are only true when you take them for checking. This is what I believe and more by asking myself these questions.

John3:16: "For God so loved the World that HE gave HIS only begotten Son that whomsoever believeth in Him shall not perish but have everlasting life".
is that clear? God did NOT sacrifice his Son to anyone or any other demi-gods if that is wot u are insinuating!

The Bible says that without the shedding of blood there is no remission of sins. The Bible states that as by one man (Adam) sin entered into this world so also by one man (Christ Jesus) sin shall be vanquished from this world.
Now my own idea is this, we have seen, by the resurrection of Jesus, that life continues after this life, so now we should want to succeed in being found worthy (by the grace of God) to enter into that life.

Hello, and lets get into the Bible for your anwsers, first Romans 6:23 "For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord" Wlhen Adam and Eve sinned they as it were pulled the plug on life itself, and because we are children of Adam and Eve death passed onto us, so The Second member of The Godhead took mankinds place "For God "SO" Loved the world that He [The Father] gave [Jesus gave Himself] so whosoever [you] should BE-LIVE in Him should not perish but have everlasting life" Jn 3:16, but God had a problem, God is A God of justice so the wages of sin is death, so SOMEONE had to die because of Sin, so the Second Member of the Godhead took YOUR place at death so YOU can have His place at life, when Jesus Chrsit came to earth He gave up His divine body and when God [Jesus Christ] went back to Heaven He took His human body not just for the time He was here but FOR ALL OF TIME, JUST FOR YOU, hay free bible lessons www.itiswritten.com EMAIL not messanger me also wgr88@yahoo.com God bless you
