thais are not naturally or necessary buddhists. many thais i know prays to hindu gods (ie the 4 faced buddha, which is NOT a buddha @ all).
In thailand, I understand that one cannot be officially registered as a herbal doctor while still a bhikkhu/ monk.
in thailand, indonesia & malaysia, there are still some small number of people who still practise 'alternative medicine'... in today's point of view, it's considered 'black magic' or 'shamanism'.

I'm not so familiar with Thai Buddhists, but most Buddhists are far from being 'witches'.

In general, Buddhists believe in training ones mind. There is no 'potions' or 'supernatural' beliefs necessary for that. In fact, those things get in the way.

I didn't know there was a Thai word for a Wiccan tradition. Neat. It's almost like the ancient Celtic religion somehow has a direct connection to people living thousands of miles away. I didn't know it worked that way, or could.

A buddhist is a follower of Buddha and there is no witchcraft associated with His teachings.I really don't know about self-proclaimed witches.
