Dear friends, my question is a matter of a small bet. Maybe seven days ago, I and one of my female friend made a bet (and a winner will get a lunch). I have found that in two electronic libraries (Encarta 2000 and Worldbook 2003) a data that indicates that someone can live for approximately 7 days, but human resources ( students of medical sciences) said that duration is around 3 day. So I need as much accurate information. Thanks in advance to all people with answers.

With none whatsoever, about 5-7 days. A person can live a long time without food, but not liquid. You will live an even shorter time if you are stranded on the ocean and break down and drink saltwater. Saltwater will deplenish what fluid you have in you body faster than if you drink nothing at all.

'Only 3 or 4 days...and much less if in a hot, dry place. Someone stranded in a desert can die in a day or two.
