la pared, the wall can also have a different connotation at times, like "entre la espada y la pared" between the sword and the wall, similar to being caught between a rock and a hard place. Estrella, means star and is also used to refer to actors and actresses "estrella de cine"

"La Estrella" means the star.

"La Pared" means the wall

Shakira sings a song in Spanish called "La Pared"...it's a very good song that has alot of symbolic language and "La Pared" is one of them. Try listening to that song and you might well understand what is meant by "La Pared"
