If you have a 'regular tea bag' and heat it up like you are making tea, ring it out (just so its a little soggy) and place it inside the mouth where the tooth is aching. Place it there for about 20 minutes and then throw it out. What this does is absorb the toxins and also allows the natural tea herb to naturally medicate. what has happen is that your nerve is exposed, causing air to getting to it. Also if you have any alcohol ie whisky, take a q tip and dip it rub the tooth area and inside. Also try and use one of those cotten paddings they use for cuts. the white ones, cut it and square it shape, and place it inside the mouth. ( this is what they do also at the dentist) after placing a high concentrate of anbesol in there. (liquid is fine) hope that helps.

Hiya. I had the same problem a few weeks ago and fully sympathize, No one can appreciate the pain of toothache unless they get it properly, i was about ready to knock myself out, i managed to see an emergency dentist, it takes some ringing about but you should be able to get an appointment. Other than that clove oil or whiskey. Seriously if you just get clove oil/whiskey although they both taste pretty foul, it numbs your tooth.

try pressing a heating pad against the area of your jaw with the hurting tooth. If you don't have a heating pad wet a washrag and warm in in the microwave for about 9 seconds. Try Orajel or Anbisol on the tooth, I think a tube is about $4-$5. Try rinsing your mouth out with warm salty water.

They have remedies on the store shelves for mouth or tooth pain. What I don't understand is why the dentist won't see you sooner, it seem's to me it's sort of an emergency. My dentist is alway's pretty booked but if something occurs such as something what happened to you they fit me in somehow. I suggest you check into a new dentist. I mean if your in that much pain they would try to fit you in sooner, I would call them and complain!

A clove of garlic between your cheek and gum will act as a natural anaesthetic and take the pain away. You won't sleep 100% soundly but you will drift off.

Ugh Im sorry, toothaches are so painful. The only thing I know to tell you is to use anbesol to numb the tooth, and I've also taken my toothbrush and ran it under hot water and just gently brushed over my tooth or swished in hot water.

I hope you feel better

Clove Oil works. You can pick it up at health shops.

It is a natural anasthetic.

Hope you get through the week ok.

All the best!

You should contact your dentist again - but I am told that "cloves" placed near the ache will help.

Hope you feel better soon.

The above answers will relieve your pain. I only want to add that aspirin should not be used as you described as it will cause tissue damage.
