Heres a cute idea that came from one of my kids classroom a few years ago. Depending on how many students you have. Each child gets a chance to be the focus for a period of time. Have a student lay down on some of that huge white roll out paper and have another outline their body with a pencil or marker then cut it out and have them draw their eyes mouth arms legs, etc. Hang the picture on the door and then hae that child bring items from home like baby pictures, family photos, favorite things he or she likes and attach them to the drawing as well. They become the "star" for that week, two weeks, month or whatever time frame is chosen. It was a great idea for building self esteem and the kids got a kick out of it,

Well, it really depends on so much. First of all, how old are the kids? What is your goal for the door (what do you want it to mean)? And what materials do you have to work with? A few more details and I could really give you a better idea of suggestions.

I've seen schools posting words like HONESTY, TRUTH, and HONOR in super large font (ie. small posters). I suggest that you go one step further and find some pictures of familiar historical figures like Honest Abe and put the word HONESTY under the picture. Having familiar pictures help communicate the concepts behind the words.

"Values Education"? My thought was since it belongs in the values category and since Thanksgiving is around the corner..have each student in that class make a colorful fall picture with their name and what things they are grateful for?
