Don't forget John 13:35 as well. Jesus said people will recognize His disciples by their love. If their love isn't apparent, I'd seriously wonder about their commitment to Christ.

I agree with what you are saying, but I think it cuts both ways. There has been many a time I have seen a rational question asked by a Christian and non Christians have blatantly made rude comments and condemned the question.
I think the solution to all of this is to start listening to each other and respecting other people's points of view. personally one of the most infuriating things I find is when people throw biblical quotes at me. As a Non-Christian I probably know the bible better than a significant number of Christians. I know how misread and misquoted the texts can be. I am not here to examine the writings of the bible only to say. Be honest, don't hide behind other people's words and texts and learn to listen and understand. Rather than judge and dictate 'my way or no way.' This applies equally to Christians and non-Christians.

Depends on the questions and comments.
Don't forget that to many legitimate Christian Questions one of the most common answers is
"There is no god"
Now, that's a very rude comment to make to a Christain, is it not!
That's like a child asking a question and saying "there is no Santa."
What's good for one should be good for all.
Start with the Muslims who put Jesus down and themselves up in every post.
"Why are so many Christians converting to Islam"
"Islam is the biggest growing religion"
"Jesus was substituted with a double who died on the cross"
We're supposed to sit here and take that?
More importantly, we're supposed to let the weak minded or teenagers think that's true! Then they run around repeating these things like they are true.
Why didn't Jesus just accept the fact the Pharasees didn't mind roosert fights and money lenders in the Temple. Why did he turn over tables and shout at them and chase them out!
Jesus sets the example and tone, Matthews is just another sinful man. I don't follow Matthew, I follow Jesus and if Jesus can get angry at defiling religion so can I or anyone else.
When Jesus said turn the other cheek, he didn't mean for you to become a punching bag for someone else.
Maybe you're one of those parents who lets their children run all over the store while you shop, annoying everyone just to get them out of your hair for a change.
Many Christians spank them when required.
Like I said it depends on the question, the comments and even who is posting.
I'll rib Jim Darwin because he's a regular and he half expects it. I prefer to back him into a corner he'll have a tough time getting out of, but when all else fails I'll tell him his Monkey wears Army Boots.
As for some of the really snide hostile comments, most come from 14 year old boys having fun. If you a good look you'll find out their in Junior High and their metal heads or punkers who enjoy flipping the bird.
I know for I deal with teenagers and some can be real punkers who think at age 13 they have it all figured out.

To tell someone their fault you would have to be more to the point & not just say "rude comments"
I am a christian & I don't mean to offend anyone but sometimes I'm sure I do. If so I'm sorry but I will not say I'm sorry for telling the truth!
Also when we ask questions on here we should expect all kinds of answers so if you want only nice answers I would suggest looking in the mirror & asking yourself!

Some of the questions I've seen asked tonite are ruder and cruder than most of the answers. For all you people that just want to get on here and be smart, please find something else to do and let other people enjoy serious questions and answers. I have always enjoyed Q & A because most people on here are truly trying to be helpful to others. Thank you for YOUR comment!

(P.S. It isn't an excuse to say, "well they do it too we are just defending ourselves", keep in mind that you are supposed to be a symbol for all. God Bless.)

You're right. I'm sure it is hard sometimes when some of the questions are such an attack. But we should answer the way Jesus did, without anything to prove. But even He got angry at abomination. Maybe we should all pray for wisdom before we answer and not go on our emotions. It's not about us....right?

that's nice of you but everyone knows that Christians can be as arrogant and rude as they please as long as they are arrogant and rude in the name of their lord. and even if they slip up and forget to give Jesus credit for their nastiness he'll forgive them no problemo.
golden thrones and jewel encrusted crowns await the faithful in the Christian exclusivity club called Heaven.

We nonchristians have come to expect that 95% of the answers from Christians to anything that even slightly threatens their beliefs will be hateful stupidity. That's what makes this place fun.
