By law even if something that would last forever..it has to have an expiration date.
So yes..the ingredients are inert and will not spoil nor lose effectiveness.

I think it will still good if you did not put it under the sun or near heat. I never usde expire toothpaste but my friend told me about it.

A difficult question indeed.....honestly, I would not mind using it for myself but would never recommend it to others because of various reasons !!

It depends on when it died. Generally, it should be fine to use.
