I have been on a snorkle / booze cruise in Hawaii.
We first went snorkling and then when we were done snorkling drinks were served and served and served and...
It really all depends, do you like to drink? Do you like to be around people who are drinking? Do you like being on the water, in a boat?
If you answered Yes to all three of those questions then I would say Yes go for it!
A booze cruise is really no different then going to a bar and drinking there. The one main difference is you are on the water (ocean) so you usually have a very nice view (water, sunset, island). Booze cruises typically are conducted during sunset and sometimes last a few hours into the evening. Typically they are scheduled for when the water will be the calmest, so you don't have to worry about getting seasick, etc.
If you are thinking of doing it just to do something different, while drinking, it is nice to do at least once.
I personally would recommend it to someone who likes to drink and likes the water. It is not something I would make a point of doing multiple times though. Going to the North shore to watch the surfers, that I would do multiple times.

Book the snorkel trips. The dinner cruises and drinking/sunset cruises are "stuffy" They usually have entertainment, some even have live bands. For what you get though it's not really worth the price. The food was bland and the drinks were weak. The snorkel cruise is more of a party atmosphere. I have never had a bad experience on many trips.

If you get even remotely seasick don't think about it as once you get out into the ocean the boat is bouncing around and is not pleasant. The free beer is great but when you drink on a boat that is rocking you can easliy get sick. I was still dizzy two days after I got back to the beach at Waikiki.

When on one in Mexico. Even the driver of the boat was drinking, lucky to get back alive. I don't recommend the one in Mexico!
