sleep in very important. but i guess it depends what you mean by not enough. There are many people who operate fully funcational, very productive lives on 5 to 6 hours sleep every night for over 60 years. Then there are others who require 8 to 10 hours every day to be fully funcational.
If you are not sleeping because of some medical problem, or because you are partying that is problematic.
If you sleep well for the short time you sleep every night and wake up refreshed -- sounds ok. Unless you are telling me you are only sleeping two hours a night or something.
Hopefully you sleep well when you sleep and can be fully functional during the day without being tired -- most likely your ok.
Your body knows what it wants. You listen you to your body, give it what it needs, take care of it and you will live a long life.
Sweet Dreams. Blessed Be.

I do not beleive that you will just die because you didn't sleep enough, but I do beleive that it weakens your tolerance to viruses and stress. That can cause problems, so you may have serious issues secondary to lack of sleep. It would probably have to be over an extended period of time...Just my personal opinion

No, but if you don't get enough sleep you might make a bad decision that could jeopardize your life (like fall asleep at the wheel).
