I have the same breed and I found it very easy to train her. I paper trained her and after she ate would take her outside and as soon as she did her business I would praise her, give her a healthy treat and bring her right in. This way, she learned very quickly why she was being brought outdoors and by the time she was about 8 months old she had no more accidents and could go for nice long walks. They all have accidents sometimes before this age as their bladders cannot be fully controlled until they are 8 - 10 months. Please never never hit your puppy for having an accident - just scold him only if you catch him in the act and put him on his paper but it's not necessary to put his nose in his piddle. Give him a hug a couple of minutes later to let him know he is not in trouble anymore. This is a great breed - good luck with your training!

Oohh thee animals are very hard to train. You have to start early and take them out every few hours as needed. Expecially 30 min or so after they eat. Ask anyone who has one and they will tell you they are stubborn. Get a spot and a potty paer and teach him. My cousin's goes in the cat liiter box. It's so cute. But yeah it's not easy with them at all. You HAVE to work with them and don't get frustrated.

Three words "WEE WEE PADS"!!!! They work! Try it! In fact I keep one down for my adult dog. I dont believe in making a dog holding it for more than a few hours at a time while I'm gone. Thats cruel and not good for the dog in my opinion. Small dogs pee so little anyway its no big deal. Hey. Let him out first thing in the morn though. They prefer to pee outside to keep tabs on their territory!.

crate train it!!!!! keep dog in the crate you bought it in! dogs will NOT go in the same place they sleep/eat. only take it out of crate to go outside. after a few days/week or two, it has learned where it is to go...
