No one who is against illegal immigration is saying that they don't understand why people come to this country illegally. Of course we understand why. We have a fabulous standard of living compared to a lot of countries. The reason life is so good is because of several factors...1) Americans pay taxes, which provide schools, roads, public aid and public servants (like police officers, fire men etc.). 2) Security, we have a wonderful military and we are learning to keep a better eye on who is entering our country. Because of 9/11 we must keep an eye on everyone who wishes to come to our country. This is not hatred or racism, it is for the safety of all Americans. Including you. Anyone who enters our country with permission, becomes a citizen and pays taxes like the rest of us is more than welcome. You should seriously take a look at immigration policies of other countries, they are quite harsh. Peace to you.

That doesn't make it morally right just because you have fewer opportunities at your original country then here.If everyone disobeyed laws because they disagreed with then we would have anarchy. The reason we have it so good here is because a group of people sacriviced everything and rebelled against England to form The United States. If enough people took a stand and did that in your home country maybe you wouldnt be whining about how hard youve had it in life.

No dyablo, I would not be in a country for money and treatment only, but that is irrelevant. The question you have posted is why can't we understand? Because people do not agree, does not mean they do not understand. What "you" must understand is that Americans are beginning to feel the changes being imposed upon us due to the massive immigration increase. It is only natural that we are going to react. No hate here, just asking of you what you are asking of us. "Understand."

If you can't undertand the term legal or illegal, then you are not truely understanding the American view. Have you ever realized that a government that upholds the "rule of law" goes hand in hand with the prosperity of that nation. Why do you think other countries suffer so much? Because they only uphold the laws they want to. Prime example...Mexico complains all the time about us trying to control our southern border. Did you know that Mexico controls it's southern borders with their military? Double-standard don't you think? American have no problem with legal immigration.

Congratulations Dyablo. What most people resent are the millions who arrive illegally and have no intention of doing anything American. They wave the Mexican flag, and are only here to make what money they can to send back to Mexico. I would do the same thing if I were in their shoes.
But the irksome part is that many illegals and some legals (such as you) still claim your Mexican heritage like we should bow down to you and forgive your corrupt and inefficient government for denying you a living on that side of the border.
Make no mistake, there is no animosity from me, just painful misunderstanding of why people come here to take advantage of everything American, while still claiming allegiance and bragging rights to Mexico.

Why can't you understand why we don't want illegal immigrants here..... We are not the only country with immigration laws.. why do you expect we should turn our back on our laws, that are designed to keep this country safe and let any Tom, Dick, or Harry into our Country that wants to come without documentation...
I'm tired of everybody making the excuse that their country is bad and that America is so great and then treating us horribly because we don't want illegal immigrants here-The US didn't become the way it is overnight.. we fought for what we wanted.. we fought other countries, and we fought ourselves to get to where we are today.. either go through the proper paperwork to come here legally or people need to fix their own country - either way.. illegal immigration is just that illegal

We have to pay for people's schooling and services who come here and are too poor to make enough to pay the $10,000 per child per year cost of education (local taxes mostly) and other costs. We pay the balance for our poor who simply can't pay those kind of taxes, and stretch our funds to cover them and their kids. The huge numbers and overwhelming poverty of the illegal immigrants is ruining our schools and education for our own children, and health care and services for our own sick and elderly . Why are your children and sick more important than ours, particularly when you broke our laws to take advantage of our system?
That is why all countries that pay for services for its poor people limit how many can come.
"Limit" means that the answer may be 'no'.
Coming anyway and taking those services is the difference between being a guest and a thief. You may think you work as hard as our poor, but we don't want to take on more poor to support than we agree to take under immigration laws. Your country's rich aren't willing to give these benefits to their poor, but that is not OUR fault.
If so many illegals weren't coming we could take more people legally including people from other countries than Mexico and Latin America. Many of those people have it much worse in their countries, unless you are from Dafur. Are you?
And I really don't think I would come here illegally if our places were reversed. I am a very straight and narrow sort of person, and I think I'd be one of those staying in my own country or coming legally. However, I certainly wouldn't expect to not pay the price of breaking a law I broke knowingly, when violations of that law cost another country billions and billions each year.

If you are really paying taxes, welcome to the world of "Paying Taxes to support Lazy Americans and Lazy Immigrants:
You are paying this much taxes because you are single and employed. They take more from us to pay for people who can't or won't work. I don't mind the can't work ones, but the won't work ones are the pains. This includes immigrants as well as citizens. And taxes also go for ILLEGAL immigrants whose children are in our schools and who use our roads to get to work where they are working illegally and not paying taxes like you are. You are legally here, so you should be more mad at the illegals than we are.
Now do you support illegals???
