I'm not sure that I understand the question. God the father sent his son to Earth in human form, and allowed his son to be killed as a blood sacrifice so that the penalty for the sins of the world would be paid (in the same way that Abraham offered his son to God).
Seems self explanatory.

Old testament the atonement for sin was by killing animals an pouring out there blood on the alter of God, By a high priest, Moses, or Arron. And then there sin for the year, was covered,
That was called a Sacrifice for sin.
When Jesus came he brought us into Grace and were not under the Law of Moses any longer. His death was the sacrifice for our sin, when he died on the cross, Jesus blood was just not for the covering of our sin, but the sin is done away with, no longer there.
Bringing us into a whole new way, in God. No body today does sin offerings in the temple of God. There is no high priest, except for the ones who have there sins covered in the Blood.
Now a new covenant with God.
Through the blood of the lamb.
Who takes sins away, now leaving it to us, a living sacrifice which is our reasonable service to serve God, through Jesus, by the Holy Ghost.

this yankee in the south, thinks that giving ones life to stand up for the truth is not only a sacrifice but an honorable one. Speaking the truth has often been a crime against the state thru out history and at that time it was punished in a truly painful and public way so a sacrifice, for doing good in the open and speaking the truth regarless and for loving those less fortunate dinning with sinners, confronting an established buch who were extremely predjudiced. He could have stayed at home and pounded on wood, and lived to a ripe old age. He was a good example of how the ones who value righteous behavior should act. Am i wrong??

Jesus' death was a sacrifice because he chose to give it in our behalf. Had he chose not to he had all the Heavenly power at his disposal that he needed to save himself. But he instead chose to carry out his "mission" here on earth and give up his life that we might all be saved and rescued thru his offering. Only he could achieve this sacrifice being the son of God and the promised Savior of Israel.

Our good works is not enough sacrifice for God. So He sent His only Son in payment for our sins. By dying on the cross he paid our debt to God. All we need to do is believe in His sacrifice and we have Eternal Life in Heaven

It wasn't, really. He wasn't really giving anything up. He knew that god would give his life back; so where was the risk? Yeah, he suffered, but so did a lot of other people, including the two killed with him. In the old testament, sacrifice required death, true death, not just a temp.

The Bible states that without the shedding of blood there is no forgiveness of sin. God sent his Son to shed his blood for the forgiveness of our sins. The death and resurrection of Jesus was far more than than just an act of mercy toward mankind because in Jesus we have the victory over sin, death, hell, Satan, the flesh and the world as we cant overcome these things ourselves but in Jesus he has secured the victory for us. In him we have eternal security as stated in Ephesians Ch.4 V30 "............you are sealed until the day of redemption" The Lord knew of our helpless plight and gave us a victory which cant be defeated.

Jesus' death was a sacrifice to free Christ and to punish the Biblical Jews for their attempt to crucifiy the Christ as the Two Thieves were crucified under the coded name of Jesus as inscribed on the three crosses, one of which was borne by Simon while Christ was free and away from the scene.
The Biblical Jews are still being punished today as USA attempts to keep them in the Land they forfeited with their defiance of Allah and His Apostle, Isa al Masih, ibn Mariam.

Jesus' death was a sacrifice for everyone so we would be cleansed of our sins. He offered up His body for you, me, everyone. I can think of no better person who would do this for everyone in the world.

Define the word sacrifice and you have your answer: decide for yourself instead of taking the " word " at face value.
