I'm thinking about moving there to be with him...but i am a lil worried cos i'm not sure if we will get along. We have alot in common...and we luv each other alot...i'm just really nervous about the culture difference...and if i will adapt. Do u think that i should give it a go...and see wat happens?

If your the type of person that can assimilate, adapt to whatever's around you...a 'survivor' mentality. You could try to investigate or research his culture and surroundings etc beforehand and spend some time with him before you make the plunge for the 'i do's' if you have doubts. Find out if there's someone near you who might have come from the area that your man lives and get some insight that way also. Wish you luck and love!

Only if you think you can give up the comforts that you have grown accustomed too. Have you visited there yet? Do you know what kind of conditions that you will be living in? Do you know about the way they treat females, and it is not with respect. You have no right to voice an opionion or objection or confront a man, that includes your man. You are not allowed to make eye contact with the men. The man rules and makes the rules, and you have to live with those rules whether you agree or not. Just remember, your guy will revert back to his customs once he is home or he will lose face.

It is hard enough meeting local guys and connecting and you are traveling to a thrid world country?????

Also in India woman rights are minimal. NO amount of love willl change the huge cultural differences

Please be cautious.

Don't you heard about the nightmare meetings of people online??

Also.....what he probably REALLY wants is a free ticket to get out of his country and into yours.

No!!!! Why can't he move to Australia to be with you?

If you marry him and his mother doesn't like you or the amount of money and gifts given for your dowry, she might douse you with kerosene, light a match, and say you self-immolated out of shame for not being accepted.

India is NOT a country where individuals have a lot of say. The family is all-important, and outsiders are not welcome as love interests.

I think going to India is a crazy idea.
