Double sword, can't pick one, have to pick both.
According to my bible, it tells me to spread the Word. So in spreading the Word, I am saving some people. That is the best form of God's love, that you can show.

Someone showing me God's love speaks louder to me. For a person to show the love and care Christ showed to us means a lot to me.

Sometimes with the right approach and heart, telling speaks very powerfully....
But I would think that in general, showing Gods love and then following up with telling about Gods love would be the best.
If you don't tell eventually, then the person might not ever know you are doing it out of the Love of God. They might just think you are a nice and caring person.
Christ's last commandment was to go and preach the Gospel to the World, and to make diciples.
We must tell and love at the same time.

Someone living a godly life, without the "What's in it for me" attitude.
If there were a God, likely he would be more impressed with someone who simply wants to glorify God (living a righteous life) and is not so much concerned about recognition or reward for himself.
Church people on the other hand, have a magical land far far away where they go when they die, so long as they get "saved" -- and whether they actually live a righteous life, that is another matter, not of great importance.
Jesus said "Not everyone that saith unto me 'Lord Lord' will enter into the kingdom of heaven, but he that doeth the will of my father which is in heaven." Church people don't want to hear that one.

Both because some people always expect a good person to show love and sometimes people take it for granted but loving encouraging words are even greater and God's words are powerful and piercing to the soul.

Both.
The person that taught me most about love and God's words was my Grandmother. She also took me to church when I was with her visiting.
Her actions likely made me aware that her belief was truth and her words and life was proof of that.
She dropped a gallon of milk in the floor, said "Thank You Lord, Bless You Lord", confused I asked how could she say this with the mess she had to clean.
Her reply was "Oh, I could have said something very different but I felt the devil behind me just waiting for me too say something bad and if he saw I loved Jesus, he ran really fast away from me".
At the age of about 8 I had to really think about this. We also know that if God is in the heart, love is there too.
The proof is in the pudding, "judge the tree by the fruit it bares".

Showing it.
People can talk it all they want, and we as Christan's,have forgotten we are to love everyone not just our brother.
If and when the Nation of Gods Kingdom stop fighting and warring in our members then we will see the darkness of Satan's world leave us, and we will then have the sinners come in.
Our war is not with flesh, but principalities in high places, with the Prince of this kingdom, our weapons are strong in the pulling down of strong holds.
Love is a force Satan can not deal with.
That's why he get so many of us hating, an waring in our members.
let your Love shine and please next time use the BIG G, in God,our God is a big God not a little one.

No question about it, actions speak louder than words. I think that it is the book of James that tells us "Brothers, do not love with words alone. but with deeds."
