Good on you for caring. These sites explain all about what to do for orphan and injured birds -

I've got a lot of links to wildlife carers from a lot of countries on my site, at
http://au.geocities.com/leaswebsite/links.html under "Wildlife Assistance" - just click on them all, click on your country and state, have a browse, 'phone them and ask their advice.

Very very best of luck.

Pigeons are very smart I actually have two living inside my house(free to roam) One came on it's own and never left. He has been with my family for two years and is very smart and cute (domesticated) Three months ago i found a baby pigeon in my front yard. I picked him up, brought it inside and nursed it to health. Now he does not want to leave either. They both go outside in the day and when they are ready to come in, they fly to the door.
Save it or let it free in a safe place.

If it's hurt, call animal control to nurse it back to health. If it's not, make sure you know how to handle it so you can set it free properly. Or call someone who does so you won't harm the bird when you set it free. Absolutely don't keep it!!! It's a wild animal and it's cruel to keep it, plus you don't know how to take care of it. Secondly, it can carry deadly diseases. Be smart and let it free or call someone to let it free if you don't know how.

Ohhh. It's a baby, call animal control. They'll take care of it until it's ready to be free. Save birds and don't listen to anybody stupid!!! It's wild and deserves a good free life!!!

Don't throw it away!!! Save the birdie! Be a good person.
