I tried, talking to my mom, because she is the main person who starts 98% of arguments in my family. but she won't listen. she said I am always listening! but when u start pointing out the problem, she gets defensive. she says "I am not the only person causing the problem" "I am like this becuz my family treated me like it, but you can choose it to take it or not" she complains about EVERYTHING in our house, about things we do, all the time. I admit we all have problem, and I say mean things when i argu with her, even told her can u just shut up, but at least i admit i have problem! We tried to have family meeting last time, she end up talking 30 min by herself n walk into the room saying i dun wanna hear ANYTHING from you guyz, i'm tired of it! I want to go back to Taiwan. before any of us said anything. she also call my aunt n friends complaining about us(my dad especially!), making herself the good person behind our back or sometimes in front of us.. its crazy!

Look in the government section of the telephone book under the health department. Look for a mental health clinic. They usually charge on a sliding scale. If you don't have one, call your local hospital and see if they have a crisis counselor there. They can refer you to whatever help is available in your area. Good luck.

Well, even though you think your mom is a "religious freek", allot of churches offer free counseling. Mine for instance even has pastors on call for urgent situations everyday.
Look in the yellow pages under crisis, or family, or counseling....you might find something in your area. Most families are Dysfunctional....don't think that you are alone. And even if no one else will go, it will help if go yourself.
I hope you are not tainted against religion.....but the truth isThat God loves you very much and does care and does have an answer.
Best to you and God Bless.

Don't feel alone on this. Most families are dysfunctional.Tell them you need counseling. The is a mental health place that takes people who cant afford it.You just have to look and call until you find one. When you start getting help, start adding your family to the counseling. They will be less threatened if they think they are there for you and then you are seen as a whole family.

I found a website that I hope will help you out. It says that many family and marriage therapists offer sliding scale fees based on your income so, this might help you out on the financial end of this. It also answers some questions for you on marriage and family counseling. I hope you and your family can get things worked out. Take care and the best of luck to you!

Have you tried sitting down with them individually and discussing both your feelings and possible solutions to the problem? I think if you were to pull each aside and really talk from the heart, you may be able to work something out. Anyway, good luck.

Ditch the losers, Sorry to be so insensitive, but its the truth. Join the military to get away ,just move out on your own or if your cute find a sugar daddy. You can't force people to change or get help. You need to help yourself
