diff? as in difficult? or different?

Obviously the Bering Strait, it is 13 miles of open water. They would have migrated across the Ice. That would have made it difficult because of the extreme cold weather. Once back on land there are the far northern Rockies and glaciers. Hope this helps.

There is some speculation that they travelelled in skin boats across the Bering Sea and down along the Pacific coast.
