You can commit yourself to a mental institution but not for life. Why would you do it commit yourself to a mental institution when do not need to. Unless you are show harm to you or other. Stress and be very overarming at times. So the best thing to do is to take a break from what is cause you the stress in first place. Some time just going a walk can help deal with any stress.Going on car ride can and staying way from home can help as well.Do some yoga.

No you dont and can't commit yourself to a mental hospital just for a break down forever. Life is full of trials and tribulations and comes with stress everyday. The only thing to do is be strong and keep ur head up. Life is hell and you have to take it one step at a time.

First of all, get a grip. Then make plans to take a nice vacation somewhere away from all the things you hate. It will give you a new perspective on things. When you get back from vacation make some decisions about what you want to do about what you've learned on your vacation. A mental institution is not meant as an escape. It's not exactly a hotel.

I would try to rent my own separate apartment and stay away from everyone. I would give myself lots of time without distractions to just think it out. Hopefully, by the end of this ordeal, I would find out that loneliness is not truly what I want. I would see that I am simply in need of good tools to deal with the situation and ask my friends or family to help. If they have nothing for me, I would undertake any form of therapy I can find in town and afford. After that, the problem should be fixed. If not, at least I would know what I tried my best, and I would take the responsibility off my own shoulders and give it to my therapist. If he/she thinks I am to be committed, I would comply happily. Those would be only my choices though, and may not fit your case. Hope you get better and don't need to try any of it. Good Luck.

I feel like that on a lot of days. There has been a lot of crap in my life in the last few years. Some *serious* stuff. But I go on. What's the alternative? Curl up and die? No way. Be stubborn. Be strong. Kick life in the teeth and move on! Never EVER give up!! It's worth it, because you really don't know what's around the corner that can be life changing in a positive way! Best of luck!

I think I would seek counseling and see what an expert thinks. I bet someone may have the intentions to commit themselves for life, but eventually would get to a point where they would realize lifes better than they thought and check themselves out.

It sounds to me like you need to change some things in your life...and it's a slow process...be patient and don't do anything stupid...maybe take a week off work and walk around town talking to people...just getting out of the house helps a great deal...

You need to tie a knot at the end of your rope and hang on. Find some sort of release for your problems, pillow, punching bag, anything physical. Well no hitting anything alive....

Just relax and let things settle down for themselves, you'll be fine! If you feel that things are just getting out of control, talk to someone you trust or a church leader and let it all out.
