Your case is a battle that goes on inside people.

My dear, the battle is between two wolves inside your mind.
One is Evil. It is anger, envy, sorrow, regret, greed, arrogance, self-pity, guilt, resentment, inferiority, lies, false pride, and ego.
The other is Good. It is joy, peace, love, hope serenity, humility, kindness, benevolence, empathy, generosity, truth and compassion.

I think you are feeding the Evil wolf, allowing yourself to stay upset because of certain past event which is already history.

Simply empty away your past experiences and start feeding the Good wolf in your head.

Life is a series of actions and reactions. Sometimes people find addiction to negativity, like a barrier. But if you really want to change your perspectives, and change your life, you need to start by just doing positive things.

Be kind to strangers, smile at them (most will smile back) and do simple and nice things for people. A simple jesture goes a long way. Most people will show the greatest appreciation, and return that kindness with kindness, and that creates a lot of positive energy (good karma) you can take with you. If your life sucks, start changing it. Sh*t don't happen over night, and sh*t don't flush unless you flush it. It's all up to you! Negative ideas create negative energy. Change the polarity and you change the energy field. Just start one day and keep doing and thinking things different that could result in positive change, rather than the usual negative results you're accustomed to (and expect to achieve).

They don't have to be big things, like giving birth to the Christ or burning the house down and starting fresh in the woods. Start small, and work your way up. Pretty soon, it won't be a conscious effort, you'll do and think in positive ways automatically, and the solutions to your problems will come. And you'll start looking (at yourself) and feeling better about your life as your changes take place, and that can only be a positive thing.

Little things mount up into big things, and those things will become a new Mabeline you. Life is an evolution, and you need to evolve, and negativity will dissolve into positivity when you start pointing yourself in that direction.

Hope this was helpful.

You choose your thoughts. When you have a negative thought re-frame that thought into a positive thought. There's a saying that states "It's attitude, not aptitude, that determines your altitude." I firmly believe that & I was a former pessimist, but not I try to see everything in a positive light. You must really be miserable to think negatively all the time. Choose your life, choose your friends, & choose your thoughts & outlook. Choose the positive. I may take awhile to develop that skill, but you'll get there with practice.

I am in the same situation right now and the thing that helps me is watching the news and reading the papers and knowing that there are a lot of people out there that would gladly change places with you if they could so just make the best of what god has dealt you right now and try to make tomorrow a little brighter than today

You can do a few things to help yourself. One is by helping others. I went to volunteer with the Deaf and Blind. And I will tell you that they made me laugh so much and taught me so much too. In helping them, I helped myself. There are many organizations that really need help and would love to have you as a volunteer. If you think you can't afford it, is what your doing now helping,,you may want to ask yourself that. You might also consider working with auxilary groups for Vets that have come back from Iraq. Many are in need of assistance. Even if it is opening a small carton of chocolate milk for a Vet that is now unable to do that on his/her own. You have more blessings than you realize.

Being human sucks at times, i found in the past that if i wrote affirmations and put them on the wall or mirror that i would have to look at then and think over them. Ask yourself what you want, what you deserve, let yourself know that you are there for yourself as a friend. What heartfelt advice would you give yourself if you were your own soul mate? Because you are!!!!

Choose an aspect of your life that would not be too hard to change, and work on it. Once you have that where you want it, work on the next aspect. If it doesn't work, change it.

This is what they told me to do in the hospital. When you start to think negatively, catch yourself and then "throw" it out of your mind and think the opposite of what you were thinking.. You have to have strong willpower to take control of your own thoughts.
