seeking helpful advice Iam in a dilema,I might have to give up my dream of a certain career choice because of financial difficulties. here's the thing I moved to pursue my dream Im taking all the necessary steps to achieve it and I want to continue, but certain problems arose and now I'm in a bad situation I have no help and my family isn't so supportive their more on the realistic side of "your bills have to get paid" kind of thing they want me to move back and I REALLY,REALLY,REALLY don't want to because I have no where to go and I'll become severly stuck with them because everytime I go back to visit something comes up and I have to stay another week or month there. Iam depress and I know that if I have to leave then my pursuing my dream will end, I can't keep trying I took other avenues and even graduated from college, but my heart is not in it.I know that if this does happen I will not know what to do with my life. Iam so troubled by this any suggestions?

If you are truly passionate about it, NEVER give up. I struggled through schizophrenia and relapses and family crisis while trying to write my book for 6 1/2 years, and now it's finished and I'm waiting to send it in for publication. When something is your passion, there is nothing in this world that can hold you back. Nothing. Listen only to yourself in this matter, and don't give up hope.

Never give up on your dreams - you'll only regret it later in life. There is a phrase that a great mythologist, Joseph Campbell, said: "Follow your bliss." As someone else said it's better to be happy doing what you do, if even for less money, than to be unhappy and making more money.
What I would recommend is to make a new plan - even if that means postponing (not giving up on) your current path. It would be best if you could somehow take some job for a short term until you get back on your feet financially. If you're pursuing a career in the arts where you're not making a stable income in the beginning, then it's best to have 6 months worth of living expenses saved up. That way you can pursue your dream in a more stable manner, while still making a minimal amount of money. So even if you have to cut out every little extra thing (i.e., no more Starbucks, make your own food, new clothes only when absolutely necessary, etc.) then in the end it will be worth the sacrifice to reach your goal. Even if you have to work 2 jobs. If you want your dream bad enough, it's amazing what you can do to achieve it if you really really try. Where there's a will, there's a way.
Good luck.

Never give up on any dream you ahve in life. I respect people who have dreams and goals and never under any circumstances give up something you are so into and serious about in life. Wish you the best. Get a little more help in financial planning. Try to be a little more conservative. Even if it takes you years a dream is your life. MAKE IT A GOAL NOT ONLY A DREAM ANYMORE.. GOOD LUCK>>

Give yourself time. Make a step by step plan, and stick to it. If you falter, figure out where u went off track and correct the problem. You will, and can get where you want to go. Yes, though, you have to spend less time, or no time, with those who want to cast shadows on what u want. They are a hex on your life. Only put yourself in a position of dependency if ABSOLUTELY unavoidable, and for as short as possible. Good luck.

First of all,"Pray", prayer changes things and faith is the key to all unanswered questions. Be honest with yourself and God. Pray with an honest heart asking the almighty to guide you every step of the way, because if you pray with a sincere heart the almighty with surely answer you. ( Remember that if you have a dream, hold on to it and be patient, because at the time you may want it, might not be the right time for you to receive it). So wait and be of good courage........

Do it. If it means that much to you, you'll find a way. trust me if you give up you'll always resent giving up your dream. All I can say is don't ever give up. You will get there. No one says it will be easy, but you will get there. So, you go girl I know you can do it!

That's hard, and there's no easy answer.
I'd say it would be better making a little money and enjoying my job that making a ton of money and not enjoying my work.
Do what your heart tells you to do.
