Is "DETROL" a generic medication and what does it do?

IF I am not mistaken Detrol is for bladder control

Bladder control. My daughter took it when she was 5. She would get bladder spasams. After 2 years we were able to take her off it and she is 12 now and if she drinks even a sip of caffine the sapsams come bake, but don't use detrol anymore.

DETROL LA: (LA stands for Long Acting) is a brand name of the drug tolteradine tartrate. It:

Helps calm the bladder muscle that causes frequent, sudden urges
Works for up to 24 hours to relieve symptoms all day and all night. (The “LA” in “DETROL LA” means long-acting.)
Reduces the number of wetting accidents
Reduces frequent visits to the bathroom
Reduces strong, sudden urges to go to the bathroom
Is easy to take—just one pill, once a day, any time of day, with or without food, reduces OAB symptoms for 24 hours

Detrol is a med to help with bladdercontrol. That is, you leak urine sometimes. It is also called stress incontinence and a lot of people, especially women, deal with it.
