Ok, I do NOT have tons of hair on my face. . .however, it is noticable. I have tried those "buffers" to remove the hairs. . .the next day my face broke out horribly.

What do you recommend? My skin is EXTREMELY sensative, and I will break out easily. . .I'm sure I'm not the only one. . .This is why I'm asking.

Thanks in advance!

Options:

Waxing: it is fast and doesn't grow back for around 2 weeks, but you have to deal with the pain, AND you might break out due to the wax. If you try this, you might want to advise the person at the salon doing your face, so she can be extra careful. Waxing is a bit more pricey, too.

Threading: Not as common of a practice...hurts quite a bit, but no wax is used, so you might break out less.

Creams, such as Nair: Get rid of the hair, but if you leave it on too long, it can burn, and yes, breakouts can occur.

Bleaches: I would not advise...I have seen girls try them, and it just makes you look like a girl with a white mustach instead of a dark one.

I think you should probably call a salon, speak to an aesthetician, and get their opinion as to the best way to remove your hair. Good luck!

There's a woman at the place I work and she has a moustache and a goatee she has white hair because she fairly old maybe 50 years. She has definitely let herself go and it's like she doesn't care, the hairs are very long. I have a beard myself. I guess it's noticeable in older women because it seems to grow faster, I know that most women bleach but I have seen women who shave it and then they have redness on there face afterwards. You should get some small scissors and trim it if you really think it's that long and noticeable. If it's that bad then see a Dr maybe they have something for you.

you probably rubbed the hair off just to the surface and the skin got irritated b/c the hair had to pop back through. (I've done it and it's not fun!)

Plucking and waxing will remove it from the root, but you may have the same problem when it tries coming back.

With wither of these make sure to use an exfoliating scrub a couple times a week (I use Clearasil Advanced) to ensure you don't get a buildup of dead skin cells in the area and to clear the way for the hair to pop back through when it comes back.

Waxing does seem to make the hair come back finer if you keep up w/ it, but it's such a pain in the butt.

Since you have sensitive skin, I would NOT reccommend using NAIR or anything else like that on your face. 9even ones made for the face) I've had NOTHING but issues w/ skin burns w/ these and they are *NOT* fun!!!!

Shaving is always an option. I usually do that. Do it when you're in the shower and just use a bit of soap or shaving cream made for your legs to lube the razor, shave very lightly and rinse immediately. (actually, you might want to try in a mirror the first few times!!)

Good luck!

please please please dont ever remove facial hair! unless its the upper lip area or eyebrows and u have really noticeable hair then thread them
waxing is not good at all it causes the face to lose it suppleness and ur skin begins to hang, if u keep removing ur hair then they will grow back thicker and stronger that is a fact and this is sooo noticecable on ur face! u breakout because ur skin is sensitive i strongly recommend facial bleach cream and go easy on the accelerator that comes with these dont use the recommended amount if u get a reaction use slighlty less(accelerator) and keep it on for longer its really effective trust me! JOLEN is a good brand to use!

You know, they are removing hair by laser now. It is not cheap, but almost permanent. I believe somewhere around $100-200 a treatment.

use baby lotion on the face, then shave the face with a lady's disposible razor as lightly as possible. Rinse with cool water. This also removes old layers of dead skin, keeping the skin more youthful.

WAX IT. You say your skin is sensitive and wax doesn't irritate your skin as mucha as the buffer would.
