...since he was an atheist.

What do you think he's doing down there?

Steve, I'll join you when the time comes...

I think Steve was a Spiritual Humanitarian, he had respect for all peaceful faiths. In fact, I think during the birth of his daughter Bindi or his recent child, he called in a group of Buddhist Nuns to do a blessing ceremony for his kid witnessed by hundreds of people.

If he really is in Hell ( which I doubt ), he sure is gonna turn hell into a Paradise with his infectious sense of humor and fun. He was and IS still a blessing to many who watch his programs and learn the value of each and every living creature....

Let me ask you all this.
Stand in a hot, very dark (so dark you cannot see your hand in front of your face dark) and lonely place. Like a cave. it is a darkness that is do dark it invades you, a hot so hot there is no escaping it, and it is FOREVER.
Now if that sound fun then you have planned well, But if you have not taken the time to really think about that feeling then do not pretend to think Hell is fun. And for those who think that Hell does not exist, You better hope so.
I pray that Steve is not in hell. I have not heard he was an Atheist but rather that his wife and kids went to church often. I believe that we are not to know nor judge. If he is not in Heaven when I get there then I will be very saddened but he had all the opportunities to Know God as anyone else and like you and others on here have chosen to not believe. All are held accountable.
Sorry if that is a hard concept to get.

I think in the Bible, someone asked the resurrected Jesus if Judas (who betrayed Jesus and had just committed suicide) went to Hell. Jesus answer was sorta confusing... a simple "What's it to you?"

To tell you the truth, it's more important right now to worry about your own soul and the souls of those around you right now. It's not your place or my place to know whether certain individuals go to Hell or not. Ultimately, only God decides whether he will or will not embrace someone into Heaven.

The Good News is, that as people forgiven by Christ's loving grace, we know that we are going to Heaven. Thank God!

Yes. A hell filled with an intelligent crocodile, and marshes full of humans, and he getting trussed up like a roast for the spit while a croc is saying things like: "Crikey, this primate's ticked off! I won't do that again!"

it's not for any of us on this earth to judge, or even surmise where steve's soul resides at this time, or any other time in the future....that is the judgement reserved for God....the judgement that we meet out in court on this earth is punishment for crimes.

God may pardon the sin, but we must punish the crime...even if it means arranging the meeting between the punished and the Almighty, much earlier than the punished had beleived.

I liked him. He may not have believed in God, but he did do good and loved life and all of nature. God believed in him and I'd like to think that God would make an exception.
Mark Twain said, " I'll take heaven for the climate and hell for the company!" We may not get to choose.

The bible, in the gist of it, says, "Hear the word, believe that Jesus Christ was the Son of God, Repent of your sins, Confess His name, be Baptized, and live faithfully unto death." I would think so, BUT the bible says not to judge whether people will go heaven or hell. That's His job.

According to the news reports his wife was a Christian and she was used by God to lead Steve to faith before the fatal accident.
