when you ask a girl out to get aquainted with them as a friend and they tell you sorry but they are already involved but yet when you see the person in town their is not that sugnificant other around to see every time you bump into her in town . So why lie about it and just tell the guy the truth so he can go on and try to work at a different approach instead of breaking his heart of hurting his feelings ?

i dont lie about it, you prob dont see me with my man because hes the type to stay home - but some one has to buy the groceries from the store - i hate to say im rude but i will tell you im not interested more than i have a man for one reason, telling you im not interested means im not interested, if i tell you i have a man ( because i do) men will usually say - i wont tell him, or something like that, to me thats implying im not a woman about my self your implying i would cheat on my man - thats nasty - and i feel as your disrespecting me - calling me out of my name - i dont think shes trying to hurt your feelings if she was she probally woulda jauned you out - luck to you

There are a couple different reasons: (1) She doesn't want to hurt the guys' feelings; (2) It's a protection. Once some guys know you are single, they don't stop asking you out no matter how often you say no, so sometimes it's easier to just say you already have someone than deal with that.

Just think of the girl as having 'someone' in mind for herself...whether he is real or not....it's not you. Why does it have to be heartbreaking?
Think of all the realistic variables before stalking someone to check if they actually have someone you can physically see. Get over it and dont get yourself all worked up about it.

We girls do that because we don't want to hurt his feelings although it backfires on us and we do hurt the guy...Also, we are trying to save face, plain and simple.

She's trying NOT to hurt you. Guys do the opposite of this. That's why it's confusing to you.
