i was on the computer and i heard my cat yelping and i found him trying to throw up. He jerks his head forward as if its about to come our, but nothing does. Then he lets out a little raspy meow. He finally threw up some mucusy liquid and then he did it again this time it was a little pink, which really scared me. I can see him breathing but i don't know if he has something in his throat. He is sleeping now, and im just really scared.

sounds like he had a hairball. Put a dab of Vaseline on his paw twice a week, he will lick it off and it will help with hairballs. If he is sleeping then hes okay. The pinkish is from struggling to cough. If your cat hasn't been to a vet, get your parents to take him. All animals should go at least once a year for a check up, shots and once to get spayed/neutered.

He is probably got a hair ball stuck. I would let him sleep near you and check on him during the night. Then first thing in the morning I would tell you mom or dad. If the hair ball does not come up on its own, you can see if he is eating or drinking. As long as food or water is going down then he is probably okay.

My cat jerks his head like that when he is going to vomit, even if nothing comes out. It sounds like he has a fur ball in his throat. He will probably be fine. My cat's vomit looks pinkish or orangish because that is the color of his cat food.

a lot of times a cat will throw up if he/she doesn't have a good coat from food or grooming. A cat that grooms a lot will have hairballs, but don't worry he/she will be fine. I have 3 with me and my oldest does that about once a week and it is because he has a weak stomach and grooms himself a lot

Sounds to me like a hair ball. Do you have any Vaseline in your house?? If you do then put some on your finger tip and rub it on your cats nose. The lubrication will help the hair ball to come out.

Is it possible he ate something that made him sick? he might have worms...did you check the mucous? It could also be hair balls...did he kind of wheeze before he barfed?

Just keep an eye on him...if he gets really bad or if you see red stuff in the vomit please wake your parents and tell them he needs to see a vet.

Hairball, sounds like they are dying...They do have stuff you can pick up at any pet supply to help with that...Keep an eye on your furbaby, if you feel its serious wake someone up...
