OK honestly, there is no perfect time to put the crease in, the best looking job happens when you do it During, but that requires a lot of attention and skill... as so you don't get flakes, but After is the easiest!
try it both ways, but when you put in a crease while starching make sure you do both sides, cause then one side will be all shiny! thanks for listening!

Best is before or during but never after. The starch needs heat to crease

After, just let the starch dry before creasing, or you will get flakes. This works the best.

Oh honey, if anyone can tell you about ironing, its me. I have never been good at ironing until my husband got a promotion at his job, and had to start wearing suit type clothing. He actually showed me how to iron properly, he used to be in modeling, and a stripper, and always had to have perfect clothing, sohe knows how, but anyway, First fold the pants and make sure the belt loops are evenly lying against one another flat, , you then begin to flatten the pants on the ironing board, and make sure the cuffs match evenly also,THEN, spray the starch, then you begin ironing your crease. Its kind of hard to describe in words how to fold the pants, but I assume you know because you want to know when to starch.Believe me, It took me a while to figure this out, dont get frustrated, it takes a while, hope this helped!

I assume you mean when you're ironing pants or shirts? I starch the pants, then iron the crease in. It gives them a nice crisp fold. =)
