Close your eyes. Concentrate on your breathing. Don't do anything, just pay attention to your breathing, how it flows, what effects it has on your body. Every time you have raging thoughts in your mind, push them gently away, and bring your attention back to your breathing. It doesn't matter how many times you will fail, only how many you will succeed. At any point of the procedure, keep going back to your breathing. Do it roughly for 20 minutes. Then see what happens. If this helped some the first day, try again the next day and it will work better. If this didn't help in the least, you might want to go to a therapist who would be able to tell you exactly what is happening, what caused it, and how to get rid of it. So, as a last resort go to therapy. If you want to try independently some proved methods first, I suggest you will find William Hewitt's Hypnosis for Beginners which will explain to you the various techniques you can use to relax yourself. But, once again, if you have a hard time doing it yourself, keep in mind that therapists, in spite of their bad fame, are there to help you, and help you they will.
Hope that helps somewhat. Good Luck

The best way to relax is darkness. Not total darkness, but close to it. Turn off all the lights and put the TV on so you don't stumble. Near total darkness can have a soothing effect on the body.

Don't worry. It's a part of life. We all get stressed out and then we return to good moods. Life's a roller coaster ride.
