Ibuprofin for the pain. Other than that, you'll have to wait until your doctor prescribes you some antibiotics. That's the only way to get rid of strep, as it's a bacterial infection.

Well there isn't anything that will cure it because it is a bacteria infection. But if you get some sucrets or chloreseptic spray, it will numb the heck out of your throat. Works wonderful and try some tylenol with that for the fever. Good luck and i hope you feel better

Yes, you need to see a doctor. In rare cases, untreated strep can cause arthritis or heart problems from a disease called rheumatic fever. Gargles with dilute salt water provide some limited relief of pain. Acetaminophen, aspirine or ibuprofen are helpful in controlling pain and fever.

something warm like coffee or tea or gargle with salt water might help the hurting throat but certainly wont cure it. Take care

Things will menthol in them like cough drops, and chicken noodle soup will soothe your throat and take away the pain. If you're lucky, they'll make you tired enough that you'll fall asleep and the next thing you know it'll be your doctor's appointment in the morning :)

When I had strep, i made some hot tea, with a shot of brandy, some lemon and some honey in it...all to taste. It did help...and tasted good too!

Try gurgling w/warm salt water. Ive done this before not the most pleasant .but it does work doc-med to get better

Advil liquid gels do wonders, I know it's just ibuprofen buta doctor recommened it, the last time I had it I didn't even have to take antibiotics
