I axcedenly gave my picture and my home town to someone I practualy just met online What do I do? HELP!! Also I got an email from him reminding me of my birthday comming up. I never told him my birthday, and he picked the right day too. GULP!!!

oops! well i would let someone close to you know about this incase he turns out to be a psycho.. the cops wont do anything until he does something.. does he know where you live? if so i would have someone close to your house keep an eye on you and your home.

You are being stalked by a computer stalker. You gave him enough info to do an on line search for more info about you. First of all, tell him you are not interested in persuing this any further and to stop e-mailing you. Tell him this has freaked you out. Then if he does not stop, go to the police. He could be watching you right now! He probably has your phone # also. You were stupid!. Don't do it again. Change your E-mail address right away. Get a friend to stay with you for a few days. I would be scared if I were you.

Tell your family what you did. If you have him on IM then take him off of there. Change your e-mail address and watch your back for a while.
You already know that it wasn't smart to do that so I won't waste time smarting off. It doesn't help you and that is what yahoo answers are for. You realized your mistake and that is what is important. It could turn out to be nothing but don't take the chance.
If more weird stuff happens then contact the authorities immediately. Be observant of your surroundings.
Then there is always the lying option as well.

that wasnt a good idea I would try to change my email address and tell him that it was a mistake to give him the email address blame it on a psycho boyfriend that you have and its best if you all stop chatting and if that doesn't work call the police and don't ever do that again its too many crazy psycho's in the world. That's funny! You "accidently" gave your picture and hometown to someone you just met online. What do you do? Stop talking to strangers online!!! Stop giving your email address out to strangers!!! I would never talk to strangers any other place than here and I don't give out my addresses to anyone I don't know well. That's just for losers with no friends anyhow.

if this is on myspace, all your friends know when your birthday is coming up, so its not like hes stalking you. there is a way to hide this. just mess around with your myspace settings. the best thing to do is just stop communicating with him. if this is on myspace, just block him. as for your hometown, if you still decide to talk to him, everytime you could give him another town. or just go with my faveorite, crapsville. if you tell your parents theyll probably freak out and never allow you on the interent again.

hmmm.Do you know how many preditors are online? If i were you i would call the local police and tell them what you did, before your abduction story ends up on dateline. they would probably put a watch on your mom and whatnot.im assuming you are young, please dont do this again.Your messing with fire and you could be hurt, or worse killed.I know you dont want to hea that but you need too.Google online preditors, see what they do honey.They pose as younger guys/girls and they are very patient. Call the police station, if you are a kid tell your parents, they may be irritated but not as much as they would be if you get hurt!

I suggest telling your parrents. Explain to them that it was an accedent and you know it was really stupid and you are a bit creaped out by this guy. They may start getting a bit over protective but that's better than the guy comming up to you and god-knows-what happening right?

dont make the same mistake again. if he's really a decent and nice person, nothing will happen. but in the mean time, do be aware of your surroundings and try not to be alone or walk in dalk alleys, etc. dont go home too late too. better to be safe than sorry.

no big deal - just next time choose another home town and have fake pictures of you in case you get the urge to do it again. and the person that contacted you just let them know you thought they were someone else and you need your space
