Im going snipe hunting next weekend for the first time.
a whole group of us are going.
they've all been hunting before and its my first time.
Any Pointers..?

I'm sure you will have a great time. Just remember to do everything they tell you to do without question. Snipe hunting can be very challenging to say the least. It takes patience, fortitude, and intelligence to catch those little buggers.

Not really, if there's going to be alot of people that have already anyways they should be able to give you some pointers. From what I've heard they are easy and perhaps fun to catch. Do people actually eat snipes or what is the main purpose of a snipe hunt?

yeah... my brothers hated me for some reason. It took me 45 minutes to get home after the snipe hunt (they left me) So I hid in the shed until my mom figured out I was missing and made them go look for me... They got a whoopin' that night, let me tell you!

we have allways beaten pots and pans together to make as much noise as possible so to flush the little critters out.have fun.i did.i have been 3 times now.
after snipe hunting we allways went cow tipping if we had enough time before the sun came up.

The best way to hunt snipe is in a vehicle, but make sure you have plenty of blinker fluid on hand!

their really is a bird called a snipe, looks like a woodcock. if someone tells you their taking you snipe hunting and hand you a bag, their gonna leave you in the woods.

There are two types of snipe hunting. If you are bringing a shotgun then you are OK. If hey want to bring a burlap bag then you may be in trouble.

I hope you understand that snipe hunting is not real. This is a made up game to take someone hunting and ask you to hold the bag while they run the snipe in there and they leave you in the woods by yourself. It's a cruel joke that people play, but I've actually had it played on me before. It's something that people in the south play on people from the north. I'm glad you found out before you went though.

1. bring your own bag
2. keep the drinking to a minimum until after the hunt
3. take a flashlight
4. take a cell phone / walkie talkie / comm device
5. have fun ; )
