It's not me that's going through this so don't give me dumb answers like forget about him, I am just curious because a friend of mine has a guy with this issue, but I know that he truely likes her, what is his problem?

I am an old lady and I have the same problem with a man in my ilfe. He just doesn't want commitment or long term relationship.
He makes it clear to whoever he sees. I find myself wanting a commitment....but I KNOW he will NEVER change. Although he has promised me that he will let me know if he changes his mind.
The guy is happy alone. He just doe sn't feel the need to ge with one preson forever. He might truely like her or even love her, but he is who he is. Many of us girls think our love will change this mind. But it probably won't be changed.
I found I was spending too much time with a guy who doesn't want a commection and ignoring guys who did. As much as I love my non commital guy I need to NOT depend on him, and keep my options open for a man who can commitment/
It sucks but there isn't anything we can do about another persons preferrences in life.

Men fear relationships because they see it as a prison sentence. In today's society men have very little legal rights after they get married, and most men have no problem complaining about there problems. But most men don't talk about the good side of a relationship so most men especially the younger ones start to get fearful of any thing that will take away there freedom.

From younger guys they want to see whats out there. Not put all thier eggs in one basket. Your older guys well the same thing. But with older guys like me I enjoy my freedom to go out without having to get permission. I just go. Young guys still are wet behind the ears and have no clue where to go or how to get there.

Simple, to each his or her own. Not everyone has to be in a relationship or married. If he doesn't want to comitt, tell her to forget it. Some like to be carefree and single and play the field.
