because she probably fell in love with the guy when he treated her nice and now he has changed and treats her like crap and she puts up with it because she loves him.

There are various reasons as to why this happened.
He could have treated her nicely at first then started treating her like crap. He could get it in his head that she will be around no matter what and he can treat her as he likes without any retailation.
Then there is another circumstance. Low self esteem.
My cousin is with a guy that goes out gets drunk wastes all his money on pills and the like but she wont leave him. He is constantly putting her down when he is on them. Then he acts all nice and gives her hope that he has changed only to go back and do the same.
She keeps him because her self esteem is so low that she thinks she can't do any better. He has brought her self esteem that low and has her thinking that.
Also, some people have a fear of being alone. They have to have someone there even if they are treated badly.

Some would say that it is because thier fathers treated them poorly and that is all they know. So when they get older and start looking for a relationship with a guy, they look for someone that they know how to relate to.

Because they have no sense of judgment!!! My mom was like that & she was married 5 times!!! She kept crying because she said she didn't have a good loyal man so I got her a dog & she felt better.
