(average) per serving how could this possibly be good for your heart?

Guys, that's NOT what I am asking. I want to know": Why in the world would you take in a whopping 10 grams of saturated fat (in a SMALL piece of dark chocolate) just to get antioxidants? You can get antioxidants in other foods without the saturated fat. Doesn't the saturated fat in dark chocolate cancel out the benefits of its antioxidants? Dark chocolate is, therefore, INHERENTLY BAD for you because there is no dark chocolate without tons of saturated fat. Eating dark chocolate because it has antioxidants is kind of like eating deep-fried bacon because it has protein!

In general dark chocolate has more antioxidants than regular chocolate, but compare the two with fresh fruit and vegetables and they pale in comparison. This mind set that eating chocolate is healthy is more of a marketing ploy than good nutrition. Eating a small serving occasionally may be fine, but it is not going to give you the benefits of real food. Americans go through food fads to feel better about abusing ourselves. We want to give "sainthood" to coffee, chocolate, alcohol, junk food cereals, but forget that the best foods DO grow on trees! Even cigarettes have zero fat and calories, but that doesn't make them good for you.

It's not the sat fat that's good for you it's the antioxidents that are good. Of all the chocolates (dark, white, and milk) dark chocolate is the best in moderation of course.
