I put this in the religion and spirituality, because I want to sort of survey people. I know my answer Earth=4.5 billion years, Universe=11.5 billion years since the last expansion caused by The Big Bang.

You know the answer: over 4.5 billion for the earth, and over 12 billion for the universe in which we live.
I also cant help but to look at it from a scienific perspective.(having taken college physics and math) and common sence.
I believe the bible, but you have to understand that some "days" in the bible can be thousand of years.
The interpretation of the scriptures makes all the difference.
I still maintain we should not mix science and religion.
I have seen those completely off track sites of pseudo science, it makes me laugh at the ridicule of those claims. These people dont understand science at all and try to twist and bend it with whatever they can to fit it to their beliefs.
While G-d does not need such ridiculus help to be the glorious creator of the universe.
Its like back when some people tought the earth was flat, mabe they would have come up with pseudoscientific masquarades to claim it was.

No one knows so why ask? Oh and it's not 4.5 billion years old if anyone tells you that.....that's just some estimate scientists came up with because they don't know the real answer. My guess is it's hundreds of billions years old.

The earth is about 4.5 billion years old...scientists have calculated the age of the universe based on it's rate of expansion, but I don't remember the latest estimate.

No telling as it took six of the Creators Days to form them. And the Creators days are not the same as our time measurement.
Even if you start the count from the making of ADAM . who and were did the tribes that they meet come from and how long were they there before ADAM and EVE were expelled from the Garden?
our physics . How long would it have taken for the Earth to cool enough for land to form hard enough to support something walking on the surface of it?
