Hi, I just joined a couple of months ago. I have lost 10 lbs. and several inches as well. I love it there. Love it that it is such a positive environment and just women so you don't have to be all self-conscious. I recommend it.

I have been a member of Curves for two years. I love it. I was very skeptical at first because I didn't believe a half hour would do anything. I love Curves mostly because it is a positive environment. Curves are now located in so many places. If you have to travel, you can get a travel card for free and use it when you travel. In the two years, I have lost a total of 25 lbs. Of course with any exercise program, you get what you put into it...that is persistence pays off. Good luck. I have had no regrets.

I actually used to work there and it is a really fun atmosphere to work out in! Because it is all women, there is really no pressure of looking good to work out! I lost about 15 lbs. in two months without changing my eating habits too much.
As far as the actual benefits of it, the machines are hydraulic so the harder you push them, the harder workout you get. So pretty much what you put in, is what you get out of it, as with anything I am sure.
Unfortunately, you will reach a plateau with the workout if you keep with it, because once you get to a point, you can't add any more weights or literally push the machines any harder than they will go. Curves is a good workout for someone who is looking to just be active and get in your 30 of exercise, as opposed to being an athlete. I really loved it though!

I belonged to curves about a year ago. I liked it but unfortunately the hours of operation didn't fit my schedule. Everyone was very nice and the atmosphere was very supportive.

Just because a particular weight loss program worked for someone does not mean that it will work for you. Design your own weight loss plan and stick to it. A whole lot of information on a weight loss diet and exercises is available at http://tinyurl.com/jax5h
