Is it healthier than white bread "carb wise"? I know that wheat is supposed to be good for you, but where does rye rank?

Rye bread is very healthy, as is whole wheat, and rye ranks up there with whole wheat. Avoid breads that contain white flour though, and High Fructose Corn Syrup (used as a sweetener), it burns so fast and makes you fat.

In theory, multi-grain, rye, and pumpernickel breads can be all or mostly whole grain. In most of the U.S. and Canada, however, only whole wheat bread is. You really have to check the nutritional values on the packages to be sure.

It is very healthy, and tasty as well. Always check the ingredients on bread and if there is any white flour don't bother with it. Anything white is processed.
