We moved when I was 4, 5, 6, 7, and 8, so I can track the age of my memories fairly well by the location . . .i have hundreds of memories when I was 4, and many more at older ages.
I'm not sure about 2 and 3, since we were in the same place as 4.

I remember quite a few distinct events from when I was two. Some good some bad. I remember going swimming with my babysitter. I remember the baby sitters daughter stealing my brothers toys. I remember getting stung by a bee and even remember how I felt because I was strapped in a car seat and couldn't get away. I remember normal things too like my parents dressing me or eating a meal with my family. Just don't ask me what happened last week :)

I haven't mentioned this to anyone in ages, so don't laugh too hard. I still chuckle at it, though. Kids are not supposed to remember anything before 4. In this case I was probably not much over 2. Several little girls were fooling around trying to nurse me. There was a great deal of confusion on my part because my mother was large-bosomed and these little girls were totally flat. I suppose they regarded me as some large, animated doll. I mentioned that to my mother maybe thirty years ago and she had a good laugh and thought she knew who the neighbor girls were. 7 and 8 and very precocious.

My joyful memories of a child was going down a hill on a slid and going to the lake side cottage the summer time.
My bad memories is that my parents would always forget that I was a child with a childhood understanding and if I just looked sideways I would be up the creek bigtime. I had to play it very cautiously when they were around.

I remember moving to Staten Island, NY, from Brooklyn, when I was a year and nine months. I have a memory of standing by a gate, on a boat, and watching the water go by. I asked my parents why we went to Staten Island via Manhattan (the Staten Island Ferry), rather than have someone drive us through New Jersey. My mother laughed and said that there used to be a Brooklyn Ferry. My dad had to work, so my mom took my brother and me by ferry. She can't believe I remembered that.

When I was 3 years old I remember it was my birthday, but there was no cake or decorations...Just some neighbors- an older couple without children came over. They brought me a gift in a small 5x5 gold box. My Parents and the other couple sang happy birthday to me...filling in my name for the older couple. I opened the box to find a red patten leather coin purse. It was very shiny and pretty. I was then sent to bed. I never saw the coin purse again. I remember asking about it, but never getting an answer.

I was two and a half, my grandmother took me to pick up my sister from kindergarten, I was in the back seat eating a Cheez-Whiz sandwich on white bread. VERY clear memory - sunny day, car was a gold Chevy, grandma was smoking a cigarette. Good memory.

I was 1 1/2 and I had the chicken pox. I remember walking down the street in my hometown and getting my picture taken professionally. Yes with chicken pox. I still have the photos. But I seriously remember that walk to the place they were doing it.
