i see alot of people have told u to use pantene but im a hairdressers and pantene is no good, the reason everyone is telling u it makes ur hair soft is bcoz it full of silicone which just puts a coating on ur hair shaft it doesnt penetrate into the cuticle which is what u want a shampoo and conditioner to do, pantene is also quite bad if u want to have a chemical service done it actually stops the process from working as the hair is just coated in silicone, go to ur local hair salon and ask them 4 what ur wanting there r heaps out ther eg loreal or kerastase. if you go to a salon they can choose the exact product to suit ur hairs needs

I use Sheer Blonde shampoo, and I have people messing with my hair all the time!

XD

However, if your hair is not blonde I would recommend Radiant Red if it is red or Brilliant Brunette if you're a brunette. I'm not sure what would work best for black hair, probably something specifically for black hair...I'll go look for something...

Okay, I found something that's supposed to work well for black hair if it benefits you any...it's called Klorane Walnut Extract Shampoo.

Though, I simply must say that conditioners are usually what provide softness in hair.

Purology, it's pricey, but it's by far the best stuff made today. And it's guarenteed, you dont like it, call the company and they will refund your money. Look for it in salons. Never buy any shampoos or cond in a supermarket, they all put a waxy buildup on your hair, not good. Pantene is absolutely horrible for your hair.
