Is it contagious? Most importantly, will I always have this virus in my body's system? Is there any way to get rid of it from my system?

yes, herpes simplex can be spread, only if you are having an outbreak though. open cold sores are very contagious. and valtrex is more for genital herpes. abreva, its a cream, works great on cutting down the healing time of the cold sores. ask your doctor about acyclovir, it works wonderfully on preventing outbreaks.

yes, all viruses stay in your bodies system forever. if anyone has ever had a coldsore, they have the herpes simplex virus. although you can never get rid of it, it can be tamed. many people get outbreaks after a sunburn on the lips, stress, or when they are sick.

Yes. Yes. Yes. No.

Most people come into contact with Herpes Simplex virus I by the ages of 2 to 5. The common cold sore is Herpes Simplex I. Also so is chicken pox, and shingles. If you've never had a cold sore or had chicken pox, you may have escaped what the larger percentage of people go through.

Herpes Simplex II is sexually transmitted . And I'm sure you've seen all the advertisements on TV about this one. There seems to be a lot of debate about Herpes I and II being transferable, as one is generally located above the waist and the other below. Talk to a doctor, but as I said the last I heard it is still rather controversial and undecided.

I got clinically diagnosed with the herpes simplex virus (type 2) about 4 yrs ago, whilst I was still in college and had a foolish one-night stand. I understand loads of people say this, but I swear I had never done that sort of thing before. I just made a massive mistake that one time and all of a sudden it seemed like I was going to have to live with the implications for the rest of my life. The hardest part was feeling I could never date guys again. After all, who wants to go out with a girl that has sores round her "you know what" area? But since a friend shared this movie https://tr.im/nAQvF everything got better.

Not only was I able to remove all traces of the herpes simplex virus from my system in less than three weeks, but I was also able to begin dating again. I even met the man of my dreams and I'm so fortunate to write that just last week, in front of everybody in a busy restaurant, he got down on one knee and proposed to me! This program gave me back the chance to be happy and experience true love again. Now I want to help others by sharing this story.

I have herpes, so take it from me: herpes is contagious. That's why it's called a Sexually Transmitted Disease. And you can spread it even if you are not having an outbreak. It is called asympomatic shedding. No, there is no cure for herpes. Drugs like valtrex are only for people who have six or more active (visible sores) outbreaks in less than a year. You really need to talk to your doctor, or go online for info about herpes.

Yep. Herpes is contagious. Make sure you tell your partners that you have it, always use a condom and if you have any thought that you have any kind of outbreak coming on don't have sex. If you have blisters or any sores don't have sex. There's dating sites for people with herpes and no there's no cure. If you have many outbreaks see a doctor there are vial suppression drugs that can help keep the outbreaks to a minimum, but ALWAYS practice safe sex and be sure to tell your partners because you will always have this infection because you can spread it at any time, outbreak or not. It's serious, so be careful.

I am absolutely terrified and I feel so alone. I just found out last week that I tested positive for hsv1 and 2. I have been with the same man for the past 10 years and within the last year found out that he has cheated on me with numerous women. I am so scared that I can give it to my children by kissing them and them eating with me...I feel like my whole life has changed. And even though the nurses, my doctor, and websites say that a lot of people have it I still feel like I am by myself. My self esteem has dropped and I feel like I have been used up. But now, My life is very happy.
