He doesn't get his feelings hurt. They just suffer the consequences. I see what you are saying. You must be Catholic. Good point.

She was special by virtue of Gods choice in her alone. Was she inherently special? The Bible does not teach that she was anything beyond a good little Jewish girl that cared for and believed in Jesus. I find the deifying beliefs of Catholicism at the very least ridiculous and at the most blasphemous.

It is highly doubtful that God Will Approve of the lack of devotion paid to His Mother, by His Protestant worshippers.
Of course, He May Forgive them, Knowing that they did not know what they were doing.

She was not like everyone else, in that she was blessed above all else at that time. However, she was born of the seed of Adam. She was conceived in sin, and shapen in iniquity like all mankind after Adam and Eve. She is not divine. She needed the Holy Ghost like everyone else on the day of Pentecost, as recorded in the book of Acts. She had to make a sin offering at the temple, like everyone else. She died like everyone else. She does not live to make intercesion for us. That is the posotion of the man Christ Jesus. In fact, His address to her was always "Woman"

reading this one might think that Jesus himself did not consider his relatives, his brothers and mother, to be anything extraordinary. Jesus appears to be saying that anyone who does the will of God is his relative.
Mar 3:31 ¶ There came then his brethren and his mother, and, standing without, sent unto him, calling him.
Mar 3:32 And the multitude sat about him, and they said unto him, Behold, thy mother and thy brethren without seek for thee.
Mar 3:33 And he answered them, saying, Who is my mother, or my brethren?
Mar 3:34 And he looked round about on them which sat about him, and said, Behold my mother and my brethren!
Mar 3:35 For whosoever shall do the will of God, the same is my brother, and my sister, and mother.

God knows better than we do. He knew she was just an ordinary person before He chose her.

Well, we protestants KNOW she was special, we just don't want to worship her, bow down to her, make statues of her, proclaim a miracle if the statue cries, pray the rosary, etc.
