I have terrible allergies. During certain times of the year my allergies will get worse. Allergies cause many things such as stuffy nose, itchy eyes, sickness, being tired, etc. You can try nose spray or some other over the counter medicine.

My parents for a number of years took me to get allergies shots. You can get them at your doctor's office. When i first started I got a shot in my arm twice a week. After twice a week it will go to once a week and from there once every two weeks to once a month to once every few months. Ask your doctor about this. it might be painful for your son the first few weeks but he'll get used to it and his allergies should get much better. He will also be used to getting shots so if you need to get him any other shots over the year you shouldn't have a problem.

Other then that just tell him to avoid as much as he can not to scratch his eyes as it will make it much worse and last A LOT longer.

Poor thing. If he has allergies he should be on a systemic medication not just for his eyes. You can try things over the counter like triaminic or even benadryl, there are a lot to choose from, ask the pharmacist or get the Dr. to prescribe. He needs something to keep the histamines down so his eyes don't itch. Also, try eyedrops for allergies, from pharmacy, along with the medicine when they get bad but not all the time. Good luck.
Also, the nasal sprays are more preventive, I use one and I find I have a lot less problems so, you might see about that. Eyedrops are not enough when they are that bad. also, washing his hands to keep things he touches out of his eyes helps.

I had the same problem last week. and eye drops didnt work that well.

Well of course you wanna try and have him itch them less. but i recomment that you fill the sink with cold tap water, and let him put his face in it while he opens his eyes and moves them around at the same time. this way the eye will wash out, and it will feel somewhat less itchy.

hope he gets better soon.

Sounds like an allergy. Eye drops for allergies should work, or an antihistamine and eye drops. I have gone thru this, and it is miserable. You may have to take him to an allergy doctor.

Try to monitor his personal belongings, let say his towel or handkerchief that is infected with bacteria. But you have to go to a specialist in order to give the right kind of medication.Good Luck
