I go for a half hour jog quite early in the morning and when I am back home, I do some basic stuff like push-ups and crunches. Though I dont need it, it feels like I could use an hour's sleep before I get on the with day and I have the time. Is it alright?

After you have adequately rehydrated, set your alarm clock and rest away.

Hey sometimes when i wake up at 5:00 AM i feel like i could use another hour or more of sleep. I find that once you get out of the house and moving around by 10 or 11 AM you dont feel tired anymore.

Absolutely. Its your body's way of refuelling itself after working out. Although some can not sleep after working out because it boosts your metabolism. If you are not excessively fatigued, I think it is ok. But if it becomes bothersome, that you are so tired you can not go without the nap, you may have anemia or another medical problem.

hmmm... that depends ....are you trying to lose weight??.... best thing to do after an exercise is to do some cool down exercises to prevent muscle aches. i don't see anything wrong if you sleep after taking a jog.

if you are trying to lose weight refrain from drinking water and taking any food a few hours after excercising because you will only be replacing what you have burned in the excercise and do not sleep right away, do some cool down exercices first.

if you are maintaining your weight, eat protein rich food to repair your muscles. ;)

YES!

Your body is telling you something.

My body tells me to:

Drink water
Sleep
Stretch
Sleep some more

Unfortunately, I jog before work!

have you checked with your doctor .. are you okay... are you older.. sometimes I feel the same way .. but something is usually happening.. catching a cold.. back going out .. new baby keeping me up .. BUT maybe your up way too early... and your natural rhythm is getting up later. check with your doctor to see if this isnt a precurser to something that could get bad.... okay..

Doesn't hurt at all. But I am surprised you can sleep after a workout.
