A very simple solution that worked for me. See, when I came into contact with anyone, it would be reluctant on my part, and I would notice my mouth go dry, and my heart beat accelerating. Don't know if you have similar symptoms, it would be interesting if you look for them the next time you experience your phobia. At any rate, my solution is to reverse the cause and effect. I concentrated on my breathing, and my heart beat. As a result, both of them normalized, and in each case I was able to think of the particular solution, rather than the problem. Previously, my own social phobia would add to my inability to cope. I could start only thinking of my inaptness, get mad at it, go even further from the solution, which would get me even madder, and so on. It is like a vicious circle and my solution, of concentrating on the physical manifestations distracted me from the emotional problems, so I was able to think once again. When you have relative impulse control, even to the small degree I have acquired, the situation would be less challenging, and you could get directly to the main question of why do you have your phobia. It might be instrumental to compare your current self to yourself in childhood. Did you have the same issues then? Some people acquire inhibitions only in the later stage of their lives. So, you need to ask yourself what brought the change. Once you find the root of it, you can eliminate it permanently from your life. If it is destructive criticism when you were a kid, by peers, or teachers, you can give yourself a little pep talk. If the matter is much more serious than that, it might be harder for you to reach the objective truth yourself. A short therapy session will probably make your phobia vanish like thin air. Hope that helps any.

Seek out a counselor for some talk therapy and find out where it all began. When you go back and see where it started, you can then move to correct the problem. Often those with social phobias are insecure in some way. Maybe you feel you are not as intelligent, witty, whatever.

well youre not alone, ive had it my whole life and noone understands how hard it is to do simple things like talk in front of large groups of ppl or even a cashier at a store. it feels like all eyes are on you whenever you speak. although ppl tell u to just get over it, u cant just get over it. seeing a counsellor will help you learn new techniques in dealing with social phobia, and they will help you become more social. give it a try. medications can help with depression and anxiety, but they cant cure you of social phobia, its something that requires alot of self confidence and seeing a counsellor is your best option, and if need be, medication if recommended by your doctor. take care.

I have had troubles with social anxiety too. Two things that helped me are:
1) The workbook/CD set titled "Attacking Anxiety and Depression" by Lucinda Bassett.
2) "The Shyness & Social Anxiety Workbook: Proven Techniques for Overcoming Your Fears"
Beyond that, and most important of all is believing you will overcome it.
Try not to worry/beat yourself up about the symptoms you feel. Just keep trying and remember it will get better. I found that for me, even though I wouldn't believe it was true at first, it was a self confidence issue. I have learned to give myself praise when I do good and to not worry about when I mess up and to not worry about how others think of me. Hope this helps!

YOU MIGHT WANT TO PRAY TO THE FATHER AND ASK HIM TO TAKE THOSE PHOBIAS AWAY. YOU MAY ALSO WANT TO SEE A DOCTOR AND GO TO COUNSELING AND MAYB A SUPPORT GROUP.

Besides with medicines, you may have to take online courses.
Good luck.
