Man, I feel for you. I just immigrated here and have many friends who are bankrupt due to the dot com bust. Anyway whats the use of living if you can live your way. Just save up some money and try to enroll in courses of your interest at a CC or something and pursue your dream from there on. also get life insurance if you don't have it. it will help you when you're old. 52 is no age to sit back and feel bad. keep working and you will succeed, i promise

I am ignorant in the printing business, but I wonder if you could create some kind of a specialized, fancy printing designs that would be competitive in the market. And if you cannot do it yourself, would you maybe consider some kind of a junior partner whose area of expertise is marketing? Then you wouldn't have to slave under some boss. To recreate your old passion, but somewhat differently, seems like a logical answer at this time. Sorry for the limited help. Cannot come up with anything else right now. I would think though that the depression relates directly to your dissatisfaction with work. Once you solve the job issue, the depression will be gone. Again, seemingly, all you need is motivation to act and I can easily imagine you been energized all over again by some new creative idea you haven' considered before to restart the printing thing and keep it floating. Hope this is of any help. Good Luck.
