Honest homeless people struggle to survive while robbers and killers get air conditioning, heat, tv, decent food, exercise, a roof over their heads. Our legal system stinks. Jail should be a horrible place to go. Homeless people eat garbage, so should killers and robbers. Homeless people have no air conditioning in summer nor heat in the winter. Why should these sub-humans get what honest homeless people don't.
Someone kills your loved one and YOU PAY TAXES TO GIVE THEM ALL THE COMFORTS OF HOME. - LET'S CHANGE THE STUPIDS LAWS WE HAVE FOR SUB-HUMANS!!!!

Good points being made! I add to that, why should illegals get what American homeless people can't get? Free medical care and housing, food stamps? It is time that Americans wake up! They should stop supporting people who are not entitled to anything like killers, pedophiles, and illegals. These criminals have stolen from the American taxpayer too long. Many homeless are mentally ill and are in need of treatment to return to a more normal existence again. We should be more concerned about the plight of the homeless and less concerned about the comfort of criminals in our society! Many homeless have fallen through the cracks through no fault of their own and deserve a chance for a good life. Look at the plight of battered women in our society who often end up homeless. There are many situations like this that need our attention. I think there needs to be more light shed on this subject to make people more aware of the issue of homeless people in our nation.

*sigh* There's two parts to this question.

First, the homeless people. How do you know they are "honest" and deserving of these comforts? Is an repeat drug abuser any better than a criminal? Not to classify them all as drug abusers, but think about it this way; there's countless organizations that help homeless people, give them food, shelter, clothing, even entertainment (I volunteered at a church with a 56 inch TV) but there's hardly any helping criminals turn their lives around.

Secondly, how do you know criminals don't deserve a second chance? I know for sure that you are wrong trying to classify every individual in jail as "robbers and killers". What about someone who just made a simple mistake, and genuinely is sorry for it? Does a person convicted of manslaughter (different from murder, since the attack was unintentional) deserve to "eat garbage" while others who are just plain lazy get warm soup, comfortable blankets, and more generosity than they're worth?

I think you still have some more soul-searching to do before you're ready to answer you're own question.

I agree with your statements.

I also think we should change welfare laws. I've seen firsthand many people in my community that are legally scamming the welfare system. They don't work, and have no intention of doing so. Why should they when the government pays for their food, housing and even get more money everytime they have another kid. Then they teach their kids that same thinking of "collecting their checks"

I taught a 12 yr old boy last year who was failing in school. I asked him: What do you want to do when you grow up?" After hemming and hawing around he answered, "I'm gonna sit back and collect my checks."

How infuriating!! Our hard earned tax money is going to support laziness like this. Who needs to work when the govt will pay your way?

When people try to get any kind of job, even working for minimum wage, the gov't abruptly takes all their support away, and theyre left with less money than what the govt was paying them in the first place. This promotes people just quitting their jobs and families staying on welfare for generations. Some people stay on welfare by saying they're "disabled" - like they have a bad back - I know someone who has this "disability" but they can play a heavy bass guitar, and lift their amplifier to every gig, and get paid cash under the table almost every weekend.at every gig.

I know another guy who's "disabled" but he DJ's for cash on the weekends and is working on several other cash paying projects while at the same time he's getting his house and food free for many years.

I believe only seriously disabled people should be able get welfare for a long time. Anyone else who needs welfare should be gradually tapered off of it for 1 - 2 years. If you don't try to better yourself, by getting an education, or at least trying to get some sort of a job, you will eventually be cut off. Government should pay for childcare expenses to help the person get an education and better themselves if that is an issue. If you're not making any progress or improvements in your life, then you should get nothing at the end of the 2 years and be totally cut off from support. That way this will make lazy people think about getting of their rear ends to work like the rest of us do.

Ever heard of riot control? That's why they give them all that stuff. Some prisons go way too far in providing comfort, but dungeons would create volatile environments for the 'honest' guards.

Besides, homeless people are homeless by choice. There are no victims of circumstance, other than those that we create for ourselves. When you boil it all down to its basic elements, everything that happens to us is the product of the choices that we make throughout our lives.

If you get injured and lose your home, it's because you chose not to buy disability or health insurance. If a hurricane wipes out your house, you chose to live where hurricanes happen. Get it?

Get some couseling for your anger, it will destroy only you. The murderer will have TWO victims to his credit, if you let him.

actually almost all homeless people are homeless because they choose to be.

They make choices to use drugs, drink, and not live by rules that shelters require ( like bathing or no drinking)

So while there are a few that are there temp till they get back on thier feet, normally well over 90 percent are there from choices they make to stay on the streets.

I know many beggers in Atlatna GA that make over 300 up to 400 dollars a DAY from standing on the side of the road asking for money, That is more than most of us make, and they waste every penny and still dig in the trash for foods.

So sorry I feel sorry for them, but they make thier own lifes normally.

And prisons are not nice places to be, most have air coniditioning because they don't have windows , at least none that open.

Thank the bleeding heart liberals for that.In my state we pay about $35,000 a year to house , feed, medical & education on every prisoner. If they do any work they get paid. One prisoner is suing the state because we only paid for him to graduate form law school. The state refuses to pay for him to attend graduate school. This man is in for life for killing his wifes family. He is doing life without parole. What happened to the Great society that Johnson& the Democrates said was going to end poverty .

homeless can get the same benefits, they just have to start killing rich white people. Rich upper class white people would be their most effective targets for speedy action on this issue. Other races, or lower classes would not have the same effect. For real dynamite action they need a guillotine and some old hags to knit and cheer as the Nobility are led out and beheaded.

No, B/c his armed (if i chased him and caught him he might desire to stab or shoot me),,,yet i could call the police and supply them a depiction of the armed robber and likewise enable them to appreciate which way he went.
